President Trump Announced an 18-Month Period of Deferred Enforcement Departure for Venezuela

On January 19, 2021, President Trump announced an 18-month period of Deferred Enforcement Departure (DED) for nationals of Venezuela. During that period, Venezuelans will be eligible to obtain a work permit and will be protected from deportation. To qualify you must be a national of Venezuela, be physically present in the United States as of January 20, 2021, not have been previously deported, and not have any felonies or two or more misdemeanors.
